Largest ever showcase of local health and care services takes place next week

The largest showcase of local health and care services and their work to improve the wellbeing of local communities across Suffolk and north east Essex will be taking place in Ipswich next week.

Expo2023 provides an opportunity for leaders and their teams from the NHS, council and voluntary organisations as well as the public to come together to celebrate success, spread learning and encourage innovation.

The programme includes a mix of high profile and influential plenary speakers, feature zones, stands and displays as well as a range of networking opportunities to provide delegates with information, tools and fresh thinking.

This year’s event – called ‘The Future is Now: Time to Value Every Voice in Health and Care’ – takes place on Friday 7 July at Wherstead Park, two days after the NHS marks its 75^th anniversary.

Event organiser, Susannah Howard is Programme Director at the Integrated Care Partnership – a network of local organisations that come together to plan and deliver joined up health and care services, and to improve the lives of people.

She said: “Expo2023 is an opportunity for everyone in our Integrated Care Partnership to come together and share the breadth of fantastic work going on across the system to improve the health and wellbeing of local communities.

“The focus of the day is about the future and the importance today of hearing every voice in health and care whilst looking back at how our health and care system in Suffolk and north east Essex has evolved over the last 75 years.

“A choice of six exhibition zones and various workshops will also bring the ‘Can Do Health and Care’ spirit to life covering key themes of research and innovation, communities, social care, lived experience and heritage and culture.”
