Hundreds of rewarding job roles available in health and social care

TAKING your first steps into the job market after finishing school, college, or university?

Fed up with your current employment and contemplating a new year career change leading to more job satisfaction?

If either of the above apply to you then you should seriously consider working in the health and social care sector.

Local health and social care bosses are looking to recruit staff into hundreds of rewarding roles across Suffolk and north east Essex in a range of settings.

Opportunities are available within hospitals and hospices, or in the community at residential and nursing homes or domiciliary care settings.

Three recruitment events are being held later this week where interested parties are being invited to discuss what roles might interest them.

The first takes place at the Cromwell Square Car Park in Ipswich this Thursday (January 12).

Further events will take place at Colchester United FC’s Community Stadium on Friday (Jan 13) and West Suffolk College in Bury St Edmunds on Saturday (Jan 14).

Anyone is welcome to book into one of the events for an informal chat, which you can do by visiting Hiring Day Page (indeed.com)

Adelaide Appiah, Clinical Workforce Programme Manager for the SNEE ICB, said: “Working in the health and social care sector can be incredibly rewarding.

“It can also be very challenging, but there is no such thing as a ‘dull day’, and these recruitment events are designed to be a springboard to job satisfaction.

“Whether you are looking for a career change or just setting out on the road to employment I would urge you to attend one of these recruitment events.

“We have acute healthcare support worker roles, hospice care assistant roles and social care roles to fill.

“Anyone who is interested should come down to our recruitment bus at one of the three venues for an informal chat about what is available and what might suit them.

“It could lead to a fulfilling role that helps with your personal development, acts as a stepping stone onto something else or provides you with a lifelong career.”
