A roadshow will be visiting Colchester city centre on Thursday 7 November to provide help and advice about staying well for older people and keeping well for people waiting for surgery.
Staff from organisations including the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust, the North East Essex Falls Service, the North East Essex Alliance, Colchester City Council and Age Well East will be on hand to talk to people about a range of topics including falls prevention, frailty and keeping well whilst waiting for orthopaedic procedures such as hip and knee surgery.
Lynn Stimson, Deputy Director North East Essex Alliance and NHS Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board said: “As we approach winter we know it can bring challenges for people to stay healthy so we wanted to do something to provide easily accessible support and advice to local people, especially the elderly. We hope as many people as possible make use of this excellent opportunity and visit our roadshow, there is no need to book in advance – just turn up.”
The roadshow will be at Culver Square, Colchester city centre on Thursday 7 November from 10am to 4pm.
More information about the Roadshow can be found on the ICB website.
