This privacy statement relates to the NHS Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board website (suffolkandnortheastessex.icb.nhs.uk) only. You can get more information about how the ICB handles your personal data via our website.

We will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information.

We will store all the personal information you provide on our secure (password and firewall protected) servers. All electronic transactions you make to or receive from us will be encrypted using SSL technology.

Of course, data transmission over the internet is inherently insecure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet.

8. Postcode look-up tools

The website hosts a number of postcode look-up tools which you are welcome to use to find services by location. The website does not store any of the information you may input into these look-up tools.

9. General Enquiries Form

This form sends a non-secure free-text email to us and should therefore not be used for any confidential purpose.

It has a similar security level as sending an unsecured email message from your email application (e.g. Outlook Express). You are under no obligation to use this form. If you do not want to use it, please mail your comments and/or suggestions in writing to our postal address.

Please note: this form was removed from the ICB website in November 2023.

10. Health and Care Professionals Area Registration Form and ICB Intranet Registration Form

Health and care professionals working in Suffolk and north east Essex are welcome to apply for a Health and Care Professionals Area account, which will grant them access to gated pages within our Health and Care Professionals Area. All members of staff employed by the ICB are welcome to apply for an Intranet account which will grant them access to the ICB Intranet.

All applications will be reviewed by our Communications Team, who reserve the right to deny applications. We may contact you for more information using the details provided before granting access.

If you do not log in to your account within a period of six months you will receive an email notification to the email address associated with your account, prompting you to log in.

If you do not log in to your account within two weeks of receiving the notification, your account, and all personal information associated with your account, will be deleted.

We reserve the right to disable your account and remove your access to the Health and Care Professionals Area and/or ICB Intranet if we have reason to believe that your access presents a risk to or is detrimental to the ICB or wider health and care system.

11. Policy Amendments:

We may update this privacy policy from time-to-time by posting a new version on our website. You should check this page occasionally to ensure you are happy with any changes.

12. Your Rights:

You may instruct us to provide you with any personal information we hold about you. Provision of such information will be subject to the supply of appropriate evidence of your identity (for this purpose, we will usually accept a photocopy of your passport certified by a solicitor or bank plus an original copy of a utility bill showing your current address).

We may withhold such personal information to the extent permitted by law.
