Spring COVID booster vaccinations will soon be on offer

Those eligible for a spring COVID booster vaccination will be able to get theirs soon at a local walk-in clinic or by making a booked appointment.

Those eligible for the booster are :

  • adults aged 75 years and over (this includes those who turn 75 years old by 30 June 2024)
  • residents in care homes for older adults
  • individuals aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed

The local vaccination website www.sneevaccine.org.uk has a list of COVID walk-in clinics which will be regularly updated as well as useful information and trusted NHS facts on the virus and vaccination and how to make a booked appointment if preferred.

Walk-in clinics will be open from Monday April 15 and the national NHS website will soon be offering booked appointments or via the NHS app.

Anyone needing help with getting their vaccination should call 119.

Lucy Archer, NHS Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board, who is supporting the vaccination campaign rollout, says: “I urge everyone eligible to take up the offer of a COVID spring booster.

“We know that vaccination saves lives and helps protect our families and communities, so please don’t put off getting this protection booster that will help keep us safe from the COVID virus over the coming summer months.”
