A series of in-person and online events are being held in February so that people can share their views on the draft Joint Forward Plan 2023-2028, which sets out how the local health and care system will deliver services that meet the needs of the population of around one million.
The plan is being created in partnership with the many different organisations that commission and deliver services, including hospitals, mental health and ambulance trusts, primary care, pharmacies and dentists and the community and voluntary sectors – all of whom have an integral role in meeting the plan’s aims as well as those already set out in the area’s Integrated Care Strategy, health and wellbeing strategies and the national NHS Long Term Plan.
In-person events are taking place:
- Monday February 13th at The Sir Bobby Robson Suite, Ipswich Town Football Club, Portman Road, Ipswich IP1 2DA from 1.30 to 4.30 p.m.
- Wednesday February 15th at Aspen House, Stephenson Road, Colchester C04 9QR from 1.00 to 4.00 p.m.
- Thursday February 16th at West Suffolk House, Western Way, Bury St Edmunds IP33 3YU from 2.00 to 5.00 p.m.
- An online event is taking place on Wednesday February 22nd at 5.30 p.m. Book a place
People can book a place at any of these events by calling 0800 389 6819 Monday to Friday 9 – 3.00 or by visiting the website below.
Anyone not able to attend is encouraged to give their views online at the Lets Talk SNEE website – feedback can be given until February 22nd. This is where you will also find details of the in-person and online events.
The feedback given will be used to develop a final version of the plan which will be published by the end of June 2023 and used as a blueprint for the provision of services across the area.
Richard Watson, Director of Strategy and Transformation, NHS Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board, said: “We’ve already received some excellent useful feedback through our online call out for people to share their views on the plan.
“We know though that some people prefer to engage face-to-face which is why we have scheduled these sessions to give them the chance to come and meet us and tell us what they think. The online session too will offer an opportunity for discussion on what the draft blueprint sets out for the future of local health and care services.
“All of us, at some point in our lives, will interact with health and care services which is why it is so important for people to take the time to read the plan. We’re grateful to everyone who shares an opinion, raises a point and highlights how things could be made better.”
